Expect nothing; Appreciate EVERYTHING!

This last week, I have come to realize that I have not been thankful enough for all the amazingly wonderful gifts and opportunities I have been given in my life.  Do you ever get like that? Wrapped up in your current daily routine. Stressed about how you're going to get it all done. Completely forgetting how blessed you are to have these struggles because they came from the life you are leading, just the way it is.  If so, I think it's time that we both reconnect with ourselves and think about, write about, and even shout about how grateful we are for everything we have received and what we are working toward! Try these 5 ways to express your gratitude today:

 

 

1. Write it down.
Writing is always powerful. It’s a way of making your intentions tangible. Expressing your gratitude in writing is very nourishing to the soul!

2. Say it out loud.
Of course, expressing gratitude verbally is always appreciated. It makes us feel good to tell someone that we are grateful for them, and it makes them feel good too. Win-win.

3. Practice self-love and self-care.
When we take care of ourselves, we are better able to take care of others. There is a cycle of giving and receiving, and by nourishing ourselves, we are affirming that we are grateful for everything that we are receiving in our lives. 4. Thank your wise self.
Connect with your heart space and give thanks for your own inner wisdom. Give your inner wise self the chance to speak up — whether through automatic writing or visualization or meditation — and acknowledge and appreciate all of the wisdom that is available to you.

5. Send love.
Sending love to someone specifically or to the entire planet is a way of expressing gratitude for everything that we have received. You can do this through a modality like Reiki, or through meditation or just set an intention to radiate love.
